Legion: Jesus Delivers from Sin – Bro. Gary Collier in Greensboro Feast Meeting 2017

“Legion:  Jesus Delivers from Sin” was preached on Sunday morning at the Feast Meeting in Greensboro on June 18, 2017.  With a sharp focus on one text, Bro. Gary exposes the devil's deceit in the story of Legion and proclaims how Jesus saves from sin.  It's a wonderful and timeless message.

Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church Christmas Hymns

As we enter the blessed Christmas season, we are reminded that “Jesus is the reason for the season”.  These hymns focus on the salvation we celebrate and include “The Light of the World is Jesus”, “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem”, multiple renditions of “Joy to the World”, “O Come All Ye Faithful”, “O Holy Night”,  “Wonderful Story of Love” and many others.  There may be an Easter hint in several hymns.  May the Spirit bless you in these hymns and through Christmas.

“The Opposites of Thanksgiving and Covetousness” – Bro. Chris Collier - Columbia County Feast Meeting 2017

Just as God has set light in opposition to darkness so is Thanksgiving in opposition to covetousness (which is idolatry).  Though no one is jailed for covetousness, it might well cause more people to miss heaven than any of the other commandments.  Have your eye singly focused on God’s will for your life.  From I Timothy 6:10 he explains that the love of money (and any type of gain) is indeed the root of all evil.

“I Saw the Lord High and Lifted Up” – Sis. Becky Collier - Camp Meeting 1985

Sis. Becky Collier humbly opens “I Saw the Lord High and lifted Up” soon quoting a song line “from the snares of sinful pleasure here my feet are always free”.  She observes that Daniel seemed to be living in a different realm, looking at God’s kingdom instead of the kingdoms of men.  Our spiritual strength comes from God, like David’s strength in facing Goliath, if we’ll recognize that we stand alone before the Lord and discover our scriptural foundation; without that foundation she warns we risk like Sampson discovering that our strength is gone.
